Did An Eat: Cook Daily. Shoreditch. London, UK πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§

Ok, so this write has been a long time coming.

I have a confession.

I’ve been having a secret love affair with Cook Daily.

It’s time to grab a seat cos I’m finally spilling the tea on my romantic rollercoaster…Β πŸΈβ˜•οΈ

FIRST DATE:

Boxpark, Shoreditch. A casual lunch time. My first encounter with the Vegan Chickn & Mushroom pie with potato, chickpeas, mixed veg and cream of truffle topped with puff pastry.

Looks like a good ‘ol British puff pastry pie but wow those Thai flavours! πŸ™€

I can’t even describe to you how tasty and moreish the sauce was. It’s like some kinda magical potion that keeps you going back! The texture of the chickn was amazing, big bitey chunks just like the real deal but without the mean-ness. A hunky gent with just the right amount of spice. I knew I’d be back for more…

SECOND DATE:

There’s no shame in the second date being a ‘stumble out of bed with a raging hangover for breakfast’ affair… In this case, Full English with a twist – tofu scramble, shrooms, toms, sausage, crispy baecon bits over rice with a squirt of brown sauce.

Seriously, if you do have a hangover this is the shit right here! A good hearty scramble with random taste bursts throughout courtesy of the veg and hot dog bits. Hot sauce is definitely a good shout after you’ve lost a fight with the liquor cabinet. It looked after me, nursed me back to health. It’s everything you could ask for to soothe your post booze woes.

THIRD DATE:

So I got drunk.

You know how it goes, you have a few too many and all of a sudden you’re a ravenous animal straight outta the Discovery Channel. Cook Daily on speed dial. One thing lead to another.

My wild eyes settled upon a majestic beast. More specifically, a Tiger: Special of the day ‘Tiger’ A red spiced coconut Thai curry with mixed veggies and vegan ‘duck’ served over brown rice.

Being the voracious creature I am, I also snared a few spring rolls with high grade sauce. By now, I knew what to expect. Colourful, exuding taste and deeply satisfying.

When you know, you know. So basically, I’m just going to come out and say it…

I think I ‘like’ like you Cook Daily. I’d like to see you more often.
