The awesome guys from Eat Safe extended an invite to their Veganuary supper club hosted by grilled cheese supremos 90 Degree Melt and featuring guest speaker Dawn Carr, PETA Head of Vegan Projects.

Our previous visit to 90 Degree Melt was a winner so I was excite for the supper club spread that awaited.
The canapés included buffalo cauli and a fancy martini glassed tomato soup with a cheeky little hash brown float which I thought was just plain inspired!
While we enjoyed our canapés and cocktails, Eat Safe’s Alex quizzed PETA’s Dawn about the perks and perils of veganism. Dawn was pretty hilarious, her tales of ‘vegan problems’ were met with laughter and empathetic nods from the supper clubbers.
As expected the food was U-S-Amazing.
Behold: Vegan ‘Fish’ Cakes with Kimchi and Fresh Salad.
Vegan Sticky Ribs, Individual Stuffing & Mushroom Wellington served with Gravy, Sweet Potato Wedges and a Winter Salad.
Vegan Chocolate Mousse and Apple Pie Served with Vegan Ice Cream.
The whole meal was damn good. I particularly enjoyed the sticky ribs and mushroom wellington pasty (typical Northern!). The dessert was a rather hot little threesome too.
The night was fun and super chilled. I had the pleasure of chatting to some really cool people thus my list of ‘vegan places to visit’ doubled in size.
The Eat Safe App is invite only at the moment but you can join the waiting list via the website.
In the meantime, get yourself down to 90 Degree Melt and get some of the good shit. 👌
