They say that brunch is the most important meal of the day…
…ok, fine they don’t. But they should! Especially when it’s bottomless.
The Field in London Fields invited us along to have an eat of their brunch menu. The concept of the restaurant is ‘casual plant based dining’ with the option to ‘add-in’ non vegan items. So basically, it’s like the reverse of most standard eating establishments.
There aren’t enough places offering vegan bottomless brunch IMO.
At the Field you can choose 2 courses and bottomless prosecco/mimosas for £35! WIN.
For course one we opted for Tofu Scramble – Scrambled Tofu with Cayenne Pepper, Fresh Herbs & Spring Onions in a Corn Taco…
…and Buffalo Cauliflower & Pickles Served with House Made Chilli Sauce.
The Tacos were fresh and the slightly spicy Scramble was certainly a winner! The seasoning on the cauli was some of the best we’ve had! ♥️
For our second course we went for Deep Fried French Toast & Strawberry Compote…
…and The Full Field – Bread Factory Sourdough Toast, Spinach, Tomatoes, Toast, Avocado and Mushrooms
The Full Field is a perfect hangover buster. The beans were so full of flavour and the spinach was top. Sounds weird to say but the bread was really nicely seasoned!
Ludz was so excited by the French Toast that I thought he was going to run off with it in some form of illicit bread based affair. I can understand why though, it was so damn good. He said that he could barely distinguish it from the real deal.
I chatted to the chef/owner to extract his secret French Toast recipe. Subsequently, I’m writing this post from a private yacht in Monaco after selling it on for millions (that’s not true, but it was that tasty).
Grab The Field’s brunch on the weekend or check out their weekday main menu which, if the brunch is anything to go by, is bound to be a stunner!
